GET YOUR JAMS AND ALOHA SHIRTS READY...

We want you to be comfortable and ready to eat, drink and dance at our wedding!

  • For men: aloha shirts, khakis and flip flops are all encouraged apparel. We're not opposed to shorts, but no board shorts please.
  • For women: maxi dresses and light weight fabrics will be best. Aloha and tropical prints encouraged. We will be on grass, so please chose your footwear with that in mind.

The Welcome Reception on Friday will be casual.

WHAT TO PACK

We hope that you get as excited about packing as we do! Kent's typical Hawaii backpack includes:

  • Board shorts
  • Rashguard
  • T-shirts
  • Hawaiian shirt or "going out" shirt
  • Mask & snorkel
  • Fins (space permitting)
  • Flip flops (no tennis shoes because he will literally hike to the top of Peacock Flats in his Rainbows - and he's barefoot for 90% of the trip anyway)
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen (make sure it's reef safe!)
  • Neosporin

Melissa usually spends a week packing for Hawaii. (And, as a teenager, may have had to remove her wedge heels from a bag that was packed so full that it was over the weight limit...) Her go to's include:

  • Margo Goodwill print sarong
  • At least 2 pairs of sunglasses
  • Bikinis and one-piece swimsuits
  • Rompers
  • Maxi dresses
  • Workout clothes
  • Tennis shoes
  • 1 pair of wedges
  • Rainbows
  • Tank tops (casual and dressy)
  • Jean shorts
  • ...really this list could go on and on...

Daytime high temperatures average in the mid to upper 80s F. Nighttime temperatures only dip into the lower 70s F. There may be rain, but rainfall levels in Hawaii in October are generally low.
